A new view

Yesterday we spent a couple of
hours at a beach that we only visit occasionally. It wasn't too crowded and the waves were really fun for the kids to run, jump in the waves, and to collect rocks. It was really fun for ME to sit back and watch them and oooh and aaah about the rocks they showed me. It was a spur of the moment trip but it worked out since I had spent the morning working and could afford to take a few hours off in the afternoon. The kids are at the right age for quickly being able to pack up and go. They don't need naps and that really helps keep our day from being fragmented by the need to be home in the early afternoons and then again later in the afternoon for our park duties.

Yesterday our park duties include collecting 30 perennials that need to be moved. It was a LONG hard process but one that I will be so worth it when our park looks even more colorful.

LOVE your beach pics ~ Our beach at Gulf Shores is now filled with oil. :( Enjoy your beautiful beach! Glad you got to enjoy it before having to do such hard work replanting, too.
