Blog Hop - Homemade Relish

If you're like my husband and worked in a pickle factory during summer vacations in high school, you don't eat store bought relish. He's seen what goes in there and well....let's just say those cukes are not the cream of the crop.

So I made up my own version of relish and blogged about it in my favorite things post. (see the link for a photo)

chopped tomatoes
chopped onion
chopped cilantro
Italian seasoning
Drizzle a little Italian dressing over the top and stir

The amounts of the veggies are completely up to you - I prefer more onion than tomato in mine.

This easy concoction is very tasty on brats. I haven't tried it on hotdogs or hamburgers yet, but I'm sure that's just as good.

Do you have a recipe that you'd like to share? Link up and maybe you'll find the perfect thing to serve at your next gathering!

Blog Hop - 3 things you didn't know about me....

This week's Blog Hop is about sharing things people might not know about us. My favorite part of coming up with things for these type of memes is that someday my kids will be able to know even more about their mom. So here you go...three things you might didn't know about me....

1) I didn't have Barbie Dolls growing up. I played with them when I went to a friend's, but I wasn't allowed (and didn't really care) to have my own.

2) I've never had a pedicure.

3) I injured my right shoulder in high school so I taught myself how to serve a volleyball left handed so I could keep playing a sport I love.

Blog Hop - Favorite Photo...

***Welcome to my first edition of the Blog Hop! This week everyone is posting their favorite picture, but first let me introduce myself...My family and I have been living in a campground for a little over a year. Right out our backdoor is 200+ acres of God's beautiful creation. We do our best to take advantage of the beauty, but often I find myself sitting at the computer editing photographs or designing blog books. PapaBear is a wealth of knowledge and love so he's been spending tons of quality time with our cubs lately.

Now on to the picture I chose....

The boardwalk behind our home is just one of the places my kids like to explore. I especially like going there in the evening to hear the red winged blackbird and watch the sunset. I look forward to visiting the blogs of those who've visited mine so be sure to say hi in the comments!***
