The Great Pumpkin Disaster

Here in BearCountry September confused itself with July so the job of producing crisp, cool, colorful Fall days fell on October's shoulders.

Poor October didn't stand a chance.

It was so rainy (8th rainiest in BearCountry history) that Fall sank into the mud with all the farm equipment that attempted to harvest corn and soybeans. Why did I think that we wouldn't get stuck in the mud then when we finally made it out to the pumpkin patch?

The kids thought it was the greatest thing ever even as their parents were wishing we'd just stayed home.

Turns out it was worth all the mud in the fields (and parking lots)

It seems like the messier the adventure, the more the kids enjoy it!
