I haven't been blogging with my normal zeal lately and it's not because I don't have anything to say - more like I don't know how to say it and say it fast enough so I don't spend hours on the computer when I should be doing other things. Just when I started to recover from two weddings in one day Julia decided that she didn't want to sleep at night anymore and Sam is stuck in some sort of funk that I'm praying will be short lived. All this on top of the fact that Brian is searching for a new job. Applications are being sent out left and right. We are up late polishing his resume while talking about whether or not we could really leave this town that has everything (including easy drives to Grandparent's homes). It is all overwhelming and the thought of getting our house ready to sell scares the pants off of me. At least 100 times a day I turn the situation over to God and then quickly grab a hold of it again and run. I cling to the verse in Lamentations that says, "Because of the Lord's great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness." We will get this figured out. We are trusting the Lord to lead us where He can use us for His glory. If that is in International Falls then so be it. Maybe He just wants us to feel what it would be like to give up our great lives here so we'll appreciate every moment we have with friends and family that are a stones throw away.


Speaking of friends, Jennifer and I connecting this morning almost by accident at a children's concert at a nearby park. The babies enjoyed the music while the older boys enjoyed the freedom to run free. The wagon was a big hit as well. From there we were off to the splash pad.
Sam and Kieran played really well together today. It's easy to forget on days like this that I get paid to do this! All good things must come to an end though. Grant is moving to Denver in September.

I'm so behind in writing about the progress Julia has made with crawling, standing, "swimming", that I'll have to make do with a few photos.


Last day of school

No prompting needed

Julia is perfecting some new and old skills - putting balls in the dinosaur, standing if I prop her up, pulling herself to standing, and real crawling (an improvement over the army crawl).

She continues to melt the hearts of everyone who meets her and those of us who are lucky to see her every day. She has no fear in the water, is starting to express herself with arm waves, kisses, hugs, biting, and throwing things. All we have to do at bedtime is say, "Night night Julia. Can you blow Daddy a kiss?" and her chubby little hand flies to her mouth while she make the MMMWWAaaa sound effect. Right back at ya baby girl!

Great post. Love the pics of yours & Jennifer's babes. Julia is a doll and its fun to think that she can already sign a bit and that she understands you. I've been voting for her pic! Now what's this about International Falls?

A position opened up at Voyageurs National Park in I.Falls. It's been 10 years since Brian began is quest to work in the Park and Recreation field. It would be a dream come true if he got this job. Of course the Lord might have bigger and better things planned so for now we wait upon Him and begin the frenzied cleaning our of our house - just in case.
